The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The home had great character and was interesting to explore. The manager was wonderful and took extra time to give us information about activities and local places to visit. Breakfast in the morning was lovely, there were many options to choose from and more than I could have eaten in a week let alone one morning we were there.
The only downside was the cabin outside let in a lot of noise from the street it is adjacent too and this was quite disruptive late at night and early in the morning.

The staff were friendly and the bed was comfortable. It is situated close to restaurants. The breakfast was fresh and complete. The air conditioning unit in the bedroom was effective and not too noisy . It was fairly cheap .
There was no door between the bedroom and the bathroom/toilet , just a net curtain. The room had poor natural light . The aspect of the property , just above a small creek meant there were lots of flies and mosquitoes but also nice birds. The whole place was a bit tired and rundown , the outside area could do with a good clean . There was a terrible smell that occasionally came up , I think they need their drains checked.

Great location, shops and restaurants within walking distance. Delicious meal in town. Convenient drive to caves. Honesty bar for relaxing evenings. Small but refreshing pool. Good breakfast. Thoughtful attention to detail. Lovely outdoor area.
Nothing, no complaints at all.

Very friendly staff and ideal location in Oudtshoorn for visiting local area. Great views from the terrace. Great breakfast. very comfortable.
The lack of privacy when using the bathroom. Not a problem though when you've been married for 35 years!

There was a nice outside deck with river and mountain views. Good breakfast
The room we booked was described as "luxury double with elegant furniture, fireplace, flat screen tv and cd player" We were given a choice of two rooms. The first was small, cramped and dark with an "en suite" across a private corridor. The second seemed larger and lighter but the toilet and other facilities were separated from the bedroom by only a flimsy curtain. We chose the first one, but this was by no means a luxury double. During our stay in South Africa we stayed at 8 different venues. This came last our list in terms of comfort

Pleasant Staff, Good breakfast, Convenient Location, Reasonable Price.
TV and Kettle did not work. Shower ran between extremes of hat and cold.

The value for money at Riverside Guest Lodge was excellent, and the room had a charming rustic feel with a cozy and comfortable bed. The location right by the river was beautiful, and the staff treated us with great attention and friendliness.
The breakfast menu could have had a wider variety of options.

The owner is great but the staff need a little more training, although very friendly. I had great difficulty finding the place after taking the address down from your website so please check as the gps could not locate it which was really frustrating!
